 Auxiliary Anthropology Instructor

January 3, 2020 April 28, 2020 

Duties:  College of the Rockies requires an instructor to teach second year Anthropology courses for the winter semester.  The successful candidate will deliver two 45-hour courses. This instructional assignment is expected to be Culture and the Environment (ANTH 216) and Anthropology of Gender (ANTH 211). These courses are offered in a face-to-face delivery method. Qualifications:  A Master's Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology or a related field is required.  Formal teaching experience in a post-secondary setting is preferred, and a demonstrated commitment to the academic needs of non-traditional students, including second language students, will be considered an asset.

As an employee of the College of the Rockies, the successful candidate is expected to be a lifelong learner who continues to develop his/her skills to help the College meet the needs of our students and our other valued clients.

SalaryAs per the Faculty Salary Schedule and depending on qualifications, instructional and related work experience, the wage for auxiliary employees is in a range from $36.81 - $39.58 per hour (this includes 10% in lieu of benefits and vacation).

Each 45-hour course includes an additional 45 hours of preparation time for a total of 90 paid hours per course.

Successful candidates may be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.
