Student Day Camp Counsellor
March 20-31, and/or July & August 2023
Do you want to get paid to have fun and play games? Are you enthusiastic and have experience working with children of all ages? If so, we are looking for you! The College of the Rockies is hosting a STEAM Camp for children between the ages of 7 - 12 and is in search of responsible individuals who love working with children and are keen to create fun ways to engage them during our transition times. Camps run during Spring Break and Summer Vacation.
Self-motivated diligent students required! You will be working closely with our camp coordinator.
Duties include:
- morning check in and afternoon check out
- Provide an inclusive, safe, and enjoyable experience for all children attending camp
- supervising snack time and lunch time.
- supervising movement time
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma, equivalent, or active enrollment in school. Experience working with children is preferred. First aid, Red Cross Babysitting Couse would be considered an advantage.
*Must have or be able to obtain vulnerable sector criminal record check.
*Driver's license and vehicle may be an asset for travel between College and Library - Counsellors will NOT be driving students.
Salary: $15.65 per hour
