Regular, Part-Time (80%) Health Program Practicum Coordinator Cranbrook Campus 

The College of the Rockies requires a Practicum Coordinator for Health programs at its Cranbrook campus and regional campus sites. The Practicum Coordinator is responsible for all BSN, PN, and HCA practicums, consolidated practice experiences, and preceptorships. Duties include:

  • Initiate and maintain effective relationships with health professionals in care facilities
  • Manage HSP.net
  • Ensuring affiliation agreements are in place
  • Identify suitable sites for students to meet their learning needs, curriculum, and course goals
  • Work with faculty, students, and agencies to discuss, plan and evaluate practice experiences, including agency requirements
  • Explore new placement opportunities and assist in the development of documents related to practica
  • Manage out-of-region requests and placements through negotiation with other educational institutions, practice coordinators and health authorities
  • Consult with nursing faculty to plan and implement practice placements
  • Support new faculty orientation to practice sites, and
  • Collaborate with agencies and health professionals regarding program goals, philosophy, and trajectory of practice experiences. 

Qualifications: Post-secondary teaching experience in health programs and a BSN or related degree are required; a Master's degree in a related field is preferred. This position requires excellent communication and organization skills and computer proficiency

Salary: As per the Faculty Salary Schedule and depending on qualifications, instructional and related work experience, the salary for regular, part-time (80%) employees is in a range from $46,435 - $74,615 per year. The College also offers a comprehensive range of benefits. 

Successful candidates may be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.
