Term, Part-time (84%) Communications Instructor

January 6 to April 24, 2020 

Duties: The College of the Rockies requires a term instructor to teach first year university studies communication courses for the Winter 2020 semester. Specific courses are expected to be: COMC 102 Advanced Professional Communication, and COMC 100 Written and Oral Communication. These courses are to be delivered face-to-face at the Cranbrook Campus.  

Qualifications: A Master's degree in Communication is preferred. A Master's degree in English, Intercultural Communication, Community Development or in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in current business communication practices, and critical and cross-cultural approaches to communication. Experience teaching in a post-secondary setting and a demonstrated commitment to the academic needs of non-traditional students including second language students will be an asset. Experience teaching online is preferred.

Salary: As per the Faculty Salary Schedule and depending on qualifications, instructional and related work experience, the salary for term, full-time (84%) employees is in a range from $4,713 - $7,573 (this includes 16% in lieu of vacation). . 

Successful candidates may be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.
